Ragdoll Poppy’s Hammer | League of Legends | Cosplay Work Vlog

I went to Anime Expo this past weekend and had an absolute blast. My favorite cosplay that I wore this weekend was Ragdoll Poppy from League of Legends. One of the biggest challenges of this cosplay (besides her yarn wig) was her giant hammer prop.  In this week’s Cosplay Work Vlog, watch as I construct Poppy’s massive hammer and as I experience the joys and messiness of working with expanding foam for the first time.

Watch Now:

  • 1 Bucket (purchased form Daiso)
  • EVA Foam/Craft Foam
  • 18″ PVC Pipes at 1″ diameter (2)
  • PVC Pipe Connectors (2)
  • Expansion Foam (2 cans)
  • Large Knife or Safe
  • Newspaper cut into 1 inch strips (for paper mache)
  • Modge Podge (for paper mache and sealing)
  • Water (for paper mache)
  • Hot Glue/Hot Glue Gun
  • Dremel/Sandpaper
  •  Plastidip
  • Acrylic Paints (Brown, White, Black, Gold, Red)

Also please use your safety gear when working with the expansion foam and plastidip (or any toxic materials):

  • Protective goggles
  • Gloves
  • Respirator
